From staff reports
Two lucky people have learned that the early bird really does get the worm. The All-Star Miracle Home encouraged people to purchase their entries early for the chance to win exciting early bird prizes, and the community responded.
On Sept. 26, Bruno Lioi became the lucky winner of a $5,000 gift card from Kroger which was the first All-Star Miracle Home early bird prize.
Then on Nov. 16, just in time for the holidays, the All-Star Miracle Home awarded Donna Price with a $5,000 Simon Giftcard Shopping Spree courtesy of Foresters, financial services organization.
The All-Star Miracle Home is a community fund-raiser with proceeds benefiting Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, Children's Medical Center Dallas and the Dallas Mavericks Foundation. The final deadline to win the home isn't until February 2007 and those who enter will be eligible for more prizes. Visit www.allstarmiraclehome.com/dfw to purchase an entry to win the All-Star Miracle Home.
Price also encourages others in the community to purchase their entries too.
"You just can't beat that kind of investment — $100 for a chance to win a beautiful home in Carrollton," added Price. "It's a win-win situation, even if you don't win the home, you still helped out a great cause."
By purchasing an entry early, Lioi and Price are also eligible to win one of four final prizes, including the $500,000 fully furnished Meritage All-Star Miracle Home.
Meritage Homes and its vendors and subcontractors built and donated the two-story All-Star Miracle Home which spans more than 4,000 square feet and is fully furnished by Ashley Furniture HomeStore. Anthony and Sylvan Pools donated a deluxe pool for the professionally landscaped backyard and Sunnyland Furniture has furnished the patio for the winner. The home features four bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths, spacious walk-in closets, an elegant study, a game room with a pool table and dart board donated by ESPN Radio, and a state-of-the-art media room. Three fireplaces are spaced throughout the home, including one on the back patio. Costco has outfitted the three-car tandem garage with tools, a ladder, a full-size refrigerator, a pressure washer and much more. The winner of the All-Star Miracle Home will receive the home and everything in it for only a $100 entry fee.
The All-Star Miracle Home is located at 4165 Catawba Ave. in Carrollton in the Dominion at Indian Creek neighborhood and is open daily for tours courtesy of RE/MAX sales professionals.
