Keep Carrollton Beautiful hosting recycles day

Keep Carrollton Beautiful will be hosting its third annual Texas Recycles Day event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Newman Smith High School parking lot at 2334 N. Josey Lane.
Recycling vendors will be on hand to collect electronics, computers, stereos, printers, fax machines; cell phones and accessories; car tires and car batteries; eye glasses and accessories; durable medical equipment (braces, crutches, chairs, hospital beds, etc.); gently used clothes for children and adults; scrap metal and appliances without Freon; gently used children’s shoes; adult athletic shoes and men’s dress shoes; single stream, household recycling including aluminum and tin cans, plastics # 1-#7, and cardboard, paper and glass.
Those who have items to recycle should bring them to the high school parking lot where volunteers from all Carrollton high schools will be on hand to put the recyclable items in the proper receptacles.
